For the first time in Manikganj, a marine fish sales center named 'Barai Vikra Sea Fish Park' has been inaugurated. All kinds of marine fish from Chattogram will be sold at retail and wholesale prices here.
Barai Vikra Sea Fish Park was inaugurated at noon on Tuesday (January 11). Manikganj Superintendent of Police Golam Azad Khan inaugurated the event as the chief guest at Laban Market at Barai Vikra-Arangabad bus stand in Manikganj Sadar Upazila.
Superintendent of Police Golam Azad Khan said, "Marine fish is high in protein and does not contain harmful fats. Another healthy aspect of marine fish is that it is a low calorie food. Marine fish reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, obesity and high blood pressure. Marine fish play a special role in the mental and physical development of children and adolescents.
Liaquat Ali Khan Laban, director of Barai Vikra Sea Fish Park, said, "Thinking of the people of Manikganj, we are at the Barai Vikra-Arangabad bus stand with the first collection of fresh marine fish. The people of Manikganj will get a taste of all kinds of marine fish from us at low prices."
Manikganj Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Administration) Hafizur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Hossain Muhammad Raihan, Municipal Awami League President Monaim Khan and former chairman of Betila-Mitra Union Nasir Uddin were present on the occasion.
