The "Omicron" variant coronavirus spreads new panic around the world. The deadly virus is spreading rapidly around the world after Omicron is first detected. Amid the transmission new methods of corona treatment have been invented. The World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday (January 14th) approved two new methods for the virus.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that half of Europe's population will be affected by Omicron, a new variant of the corona, by next March. In this situation, health experts are especially emphasizing on vaccination. At the same time, emphasis is being laid on the treatment of corona victims. Following this, the WHO approved two new treatment methods.

In a report published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) say that for the patients infected with covid severely, the application of arthritis drug Baricitinib with a drug called Corticosteroids reduces the needs for ventilation. The risk of death is also reduced.

To reduce the risk of covid-19 in the elderly, and those with a weakened immune system or diabetes, experts recommend the application of synthetic antibody treatment Sotrovimab.

However there is a little need to apply Sotrimab for those who have low risk for covid-19. The World Health Organization says it is still unclear how effective it will be against new variants of corona, such as Omicron.

Earlier, the World Health Organization approved three medical procedures for Covid-19. In September 2020, the company approved the treatment of critically ill Covid patients with Corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are cheaper. This drug, which is readily available in patients with severe corona, works quickly.

In July last year, the arthritis treating drugs Tocilizumab and Sarilumabwere approved by the World Health Organization. However, the newly approved Baricitinib is slightly different from these drugs.

The number of people infected with Omicron variant is increasing in different countries of the world.

The WHO fears that by March, half of Europe's population will be infected with the corona.
