Former Bangladesh one-day international captain Tamim Iqbal through a Facebook post has announced that he will clarify everything regarding his exclusion from the World Cup squad in a video massage after the Bangladesh team leave for India on Wednesday afternoon.
He wrote in the post, “I will tell something through a video message regarding the last few days’ happenings after Bangladesh national team’s departure for India”.
The Tigers are scheduled to leave for India at 4pm at a flight from Hazrat Shahajalal International Airport in Dhaka.
"There have been a lot of things that came to the media in the last few days. I think my fans and supporters have the right to know everything clearly," he added.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced its ICC World Cup squad.
Left-handed opener Tamim Iqbal has not been included in the squad and has been replaced by another left-handed opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim.
Besides, Mahmudullah Riyad has been named in the team despite being dropped out of the Asia Cup squad.
Besides, young pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has also got an opportunity to be a member of the World Cup team.
