The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the World Cup in 50-over cricket to be held in India.
Veteran Left-handed opener and former captain of the format Tamim Iqbal has not been included in the squad. has been replaced by another left-handed opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim.
Meanwhile, veteran Mahmudullah Riyad has been named in the team despite being dropped out of the Asia Cup squad.
Besides, young pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has also got an opportunity to be a member of the World Cup team.
Bangladesh team will travel to Guwahati in India on Wednesday for two practice matches of the World Cup on September 29 and October 2 against Sri Lanka and England respectively before moving to Dharamshala for their first game of the tournament against Afghanistan on October 7.

Shakib Al Hasan (c), Liton Das, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Nazmul Hossain Shanto (vc), Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Sheikh Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shoriful Islam and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
