BNP‍‍`s senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that the Awami League leaders have siphoned off billions of taka abroad by looting the wealth of country‍‍`s people. They have looted people‍‍`s money.

He also said forthcoming January 7 election is not an election of voters. Rather, it is an election of Awami League to cling to power.

Rizvi was speaking after distributing leaflets and election campaign at Malibagah kitchen market in the capital on Sunday morning. "This election is an election of ‍‍`aamra and mamura.‍‍` They are holding election for themselves. It‍‍`s a solo election. It‍‍`s not an election of people. People will not be able to cast their ballots in this election."

Asking why the Awami League is holding this election, Rizvi said because they have indiscriminately looted the country‍‍`s poor people‍‍`s resources. They have laundered the looted wealth abroad. They want to protect their wealth at any cost. They have built Shaddad‍‍`s paradise looting the country‍‍`s resources. So, they don‍‍`t want to lose this paradise."

The BNP leader urged the countrymen to boycott the election taking stand against corrupts, looters, and murderers. "None of you go to the polling station to cast your ballots."

Sunday was the last day of the BNP-announced three-day of leaflet distribution and door-to-door campaign demanding the boycott of 12th Jatiya Sangsad election on January 7 and resignation of the government. Rizvi attended the last day‍‍`s programme at Malibagh in the capital.

BNP‍‍`s health affairs secretary Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, assistant youth affairs secretary Mir Newaz Ali Newaz, assistant economic secretary Mahmudur Rahman Sumon, Tanti Dal‍‍`s convener Abul Kalam Azad, Matsyajibi Dal‍‍`s member secretary Abdur Rahim, Jubo Dal central committee‍‍`s joint organising secretary Kamruzzaman Jewel and Dhaka City South BNP‍‍`s member Nadia Patha, among others, took part in the campain at Malibagh kitchen market.
