The Bangladesh Nationalist Party has announced fresh programmes, including a series of mass contact programmes on December 21, 22, and 23, and a nationwide daylong blockade on December 24.
The party is enforcing the fresh programmes to press home its demands for holding polls under a non-party caretaker government, and to discourage people from voting in the election slated for January 7.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi through a virtual press breleiefing said the party would hold mass contact programmes across the country on December 21, 22 and 23.
He said the party would enforce a countrywide dawn-to-dusk blockade on December 24 (Sunday).
Earlier, BNP has announced a "non-cooperation movement" against the government starting on Wednesday, and the opposition party has urged people of the country to boycott the January 7, 2024 election.
