A total of 12 Awami League leaders want to be the MP in Dinajpur-4 (Kansama-Chiribandar) constituency in the upcoming 12th Parliament Election.
Among them, seven leaders from Khanasam Upazila and five from Chirirbandar Upazila have purchased party nomination forms.
They have collected and submitted the nomination forms from the Rangpur Division booth of the Awami League Central Office on Bangabandhu Avenue.
The nomination aspirants for Dinajpur-4 seat are- Former Foreign Minister and running MP Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali from Khansama Upazila, District Awami League Legal Affairs Secretary Adv Haji Saiful Islam, Education and Human Resources Secretary of District Awami League Sheikh Rafiqul Islam, District Awami League Information And Research Affairs Secretary Ad Samsur Rahman Parvez, Khansama Upazila Bangla Language College Principal Shah Abu Hasan Tutul, Nilphamari District Sayedpur Government College English Lecturer Kamal Hossain, Delwar Hossain Dulu, former Whip from Chirirbandar Upazila and former General Secretary of Central Krishak League Alhaj Mizanur Rahman Manu, district Awami League member freedom fighter Professor Dr M Amjad Hossain, Chairman of Chirirbandar Upazila Parishad and member of District Awami League Tarikul Islam Tarik, General Secretary of District Awami Jubo League Anwar Hossain, Vice Chairman of Chirirbandar Upazila Parishad and Upazila Awami League Vice President Jyotish Chandra Roy.
The aspirants said that if the party gives nomination, they will definitely be able to win. However, everyone will work for whoever the party chief Sheikh Hasina nominates.
