The government has canceled the decision of 5% quota for the children of martyrs and injured persons of the July-August uprising in school and college admissions.
The Education Ministry issued an order in this regard on Monday (March 3).
According to new decision, instead of quota, the government has decided to allocate one additional seat per class for the children of the uprising’s victims in public schools.
As per new order, an extra seat will be reserved in each class beyond the designated lottery seats for government school admissions.
The order applies only to the 2025 academic year.
