3 arrested for attempting proxy in Biman’s recruitment exams

Three individuals were arrested today for attempting to take  proxy exams on behalf of other candidates during the written test for the Ground Service Assistant position at Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The arrests took place at various exam centers, with the suspects later being handed over to the police while Biman Bangladesh Airlines has filed cases against them at the respective police stations, said an airlines press release.

At the Mirpur Girls Ideal Laboratory Institute, Afzal Hossain Badsha (35) was apprehended while attempting to take part in the exam on behalf of Mohammad Sojib Sardar.

He was handed over to Mirpur Model Police Station, where a case was filed.

At the BAF Shaheen College Tejgaon center, Mohammad Moniruzzaman (28) was arrested while using a Bluetooth device to collect exam answers from an external source.

He was handed over to the Kafrul Police Station, where a case was also filed.

Meanwhile, at the Civil Aviation School and College, Kurmitola center, Ariful Islam (29) was caught while attempting to take part in exam for Mohammad Morsalin Hossain.  

He was handed over to the Airport Police Station, and a case was lodged against him there.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines authorities suspected that the arrested individuals are believed to be active members of an organized group engaged in illegal recruitment practices for various positions within the airline, said the release.

Intelligence reports led to the identification and apprehension of the suspects at the aforementioned centers.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has reiterated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy regarding recruitment irregularities.

The airline has urged the public to remain vigilant against illegal recruitment offers circulating through social media and other channels.
