Salon employee during the day, mugger at night

A salon employee has been arrested by police on charge of mugging.

Md Sohag Hossain, 28, was arrested by police from in front of Bank Asia at Sonargaon crossing under Tejgaon police station in the capital on Thursday night. A knife was also seized from him.

Sohag commits mugging at night though he works at a salon during the day, police said.

Confirming the authenticity of the incident, Tejgaon police station‍‍`s OC Mohammad Mohsin said Sohag is mainly a mugger. He has his own gang. They mainly target bus passengers. They create artificial crowd inside the bus. They they fled with the passengers money bags and mobile phones. If someone tried to bar them, they attack people with knives. On Thursday, Sohag and his other group members were taking preparations to commit a dacoity. At that time, police went there. Witnessing the arrival of policemen, they tried to fled. Later, police arrested Sohag with a knife after chasing him.
