Two persons were injured in cocktail explosion in the capital`s Farmgate area on Saturday night.
The injured are Bangladesh Bank joint director Emdadul Haque Khan, 56, and Nazmus Shahadat Alam, 38, an official of another organasation.
Both are currently undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
They said while returning home around 9pm at their Mohammadpur residence after ending work in Karwan Bazar, suddenly two cocktails were exploded in front of Farmview Super Market in Farmgate, leaving them injured.
Locals rescued them took to Al-Razi Islamia Hospital (Pvt) Ltd. Later, the duo were shifted to DMCH for better treatment.
Eyewitnesses said that the cocktails were thrown from a nearby building.
