US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas on Thursday held a meeting with Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen at state guesthouse Padma in Dhaka.
The meeting began at 11:00am and lasted for an hour.
Issues being discussed at the meeting could not be known immediately.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the United States Muhammad Imran and North America wing director general at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Masud Ul Alam were present at the meeting.
The US Ambassador returned to Dhaka on Monday after a holiday.
