Bus set on fire in city’s Sayedabad

A passenger bus was set on fire at Sayedabad in Dhaka on Wednesday evening amid the 24-hour blockade called by BNP.

The bus belonging to “Raida Paribahan” was set on fire beside the Jatrabari Ideal School and College at about 7:35 pm.

Fire Service and Civil Defense deputy assistant director (media cell) Shahjahan Sikder confirmed it.

Later, being informed, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire, he said.

However, no casualties was reported.
