A bus of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) on Saturday was set ablaze at Uttara in the capital on the eve of the two-day blockade called by BNP and its like-minded parties.
The incident happened near House Building area at around 7:15 pm, said Fire Service and Civil Defence control room official Ershad Hossain.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot, however, the driver and helper had doused the blaze before they reached there.
Some of it seats were damaged in the fire, the official added.
