Bus torched in Uttara, JCD leader caught red-handed by RAB

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal‍‍`s central committee co-organising secretary was detained by Rapid Action Battalion while trying to flee after set a bus on fire in Uattara‍‍`s Abdullahpur on Monday morning.

Detained JCD leader was Mamun Majumder, 35.

Superintendent of RAB-1 Jahidur Rahman said, "Around 9:15am, two persons got into a Mirpur-bound bus of Projapoti Paribahan as passengers. After that they set the vehicle on fire and tried to flee. Then the elite force team chased the duo and caught one of them red-handed. But other managed to flee."

Legal action will be taken against the JCD leader, the RAB official added.
