Human chain formed for merit list at CU

Students formed a human chain at Chattogram University‍‍`s Shaheed Minar premises on Tuesday demanding the publication of the 7th merit list for admission to vacant seats.

The university authorities have stopped publishing the merit list leaving more than three hundred seats vacant in the 2022-23 session, according to the organizers of the human chain.

The students said at the human chain, ‍‍`‍‍`Though we have qualified to study at the university, we are deprived of the opportunity to get higher education because the CU authorities have not published the 7th merit list. We are repeatedly harassed.‍‍`‍‍`

Meanwhile, the sixth or the latest merit list of the admission test for the academic year 2022-23 was published two months ago on September 23. Later, the final admission and migration list was given on 30th September. The final list shown that there are more than three hundred vacant seats in eight units and two sub-units. After that, the merit list was not published in the last two months.
