A minor child died in a road accident at Mollahat upazila in Bagerhat district on Wednesday afternoon.
The dead was Saif Sheikh, 5, son of Nazmul Sheikh, a resident of Haridah village under the upazila.
According to police, a sand-laden trolley ran over the child while he was going to Mollahat Bazar with his mother. He died on the spot.
Mollahat Police Station officer-in-charge SM Ashraful Alam confirmed it.
The body has been handed over to the family after legal proceedings, the OC said.
