At least 22 hurt as bus falls into ditch in Khulna

At least 22 people have been injured after a passenger-carrying bus fell into a roadside ditch at Dumuria upazila in Khulna district.

The accident took place around 11:30 am on Friday on the Khulna-Satkhira highway in Gutudia WAPDA area.

Quoting eyewitnesses, Gutudia UP member Masud Rana said a Satkhira-bound bus fell into a roadside ditch after its driver had lost control over the steering, leaving at least 22 people, including children, injured.

On information, a team from the local fire service rushed to the spot and took the injured to Dumuria Upazila Health Complex.

Sukanta Saha, officer-in-charge of Dumuria Police Station, said the bus had been rescued, however, no cases had been filed till then.
