College student crushed under train in Narsingdi

A college student was crushed under the wheels of a train at Sadar upazila in Narsingdi district on Sunday.

The accident took place around 7:00 pm in Baduachar railway bridge area.

The deceased was Ruman Miah, 20, son of Haque Miah, a resident of Baherchar village in the upazila. He was a student of class XI.

Locals said a train ran him over while Ruman was walking near Baduachar railway bridge area, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body, said Narsingdi Railway Police sub-inspector Naziur Rahman.

Legal steps in this regard are under process, he added.
