Two vegetable traders were killed and six others injured in a triangular collision among a bus, a leguna and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Jamalpur sadar on Friday morning.
The accident took place in Titpalla area on the Jamalpur-Tangail highway around 5:30 am.
The deceased were Anwar Hossain, 40, hailed from Tangail`s Dhanbari upazila, and Shamsul Hossain, 52, from Chhontia village under Jamalpur Sadar Upazila.
Jamalpur Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Muhammad Mohabbat Kabir confirmed it.
He said a Leguna and an auto-rickshaw coming from Tangail`s Dhanbari collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound bus of `Sadnan Paribahan` in that area. The two persons died on the spot and six passengers were injured.
On information, police and fire service personnel rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital.
