A five-year old girl was killed after being hit by an easy bike at Ghoraghat upazila in Dinajpur district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Raisa Moni, daughter of Raju Mondal, a resident hailed from from Chatiyanchura of Gaibandha’s Gobindaganj upazila.
Ghoraghat Police Station’s officer-in-charge Asaduzzaman Asad said the accident occurred when a speeding easy bike ran over the girl while she was going to visit her grandparents’ house.
“Police seized the easy bike and legal procedure is going on to arrest the fugitive driver,” the OC added.
