A madrasah student committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling of his house at Boalkhali upazila in Chattogram district on Monday night.
Deceased Wajed Hasan, 17, was a resident of ward no-3 under Boalkhali municipality and a 10th grader of a local madrasah.
According to the deceased`s family members, Wajed went out of his house after dinner and didn`t returned home late night. Later, they found him hanging with the ceiling of his house on Tuesday morning and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Md Asham Uddin, officer-in-charge of Boalkhali Police Station.
The actual reason behind the death would be known after autopsy and legal action would be taken in this regard, the OC added.
