Two motorcycle riders were killed and two others injured when a bus hit their motorcycle in Bagerhat sadar upazila on Sunday.
The accident took place around 9:30 am at Dakshin Bangla Charar Ghar of Baitpur village of the upazila on the Bagerhat-Pirojpur highway.
The deceased were Mizan Jamaddar, 35, son of Mannan Jamaddar, hailed from Sonatala village under Sharankhola upazila of Bagerhat, and Rabbi Khan, 25, son of Farooq Khan of the same area.
Injured Faisal and Roni are residents of the same area.
Katakhali Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman said, a passenger bus of Dhansiri Paribahan leaving from Khulna for Barishal ran over a motorcycle and an easy bike coming from the opposite direction in that area. The two died on the spot.
Later, locals rescued the injured and took to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital.
The police official also said that legal measures are under process in this regard.
