Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged top-listed drug peddler with 1.1 kilograms of heroin in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district early Thursday.
The arrested was Muhammad Liton, 44, son of late Hossain Ali of Char Amtali village under Godagari upazila in the district.
RAB on Thursday afternoon said that acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid at Liton`s dwelling house around 4am.
The team recovered the heroin after searching the house and arrested him.
A case was recorded with Godagari Model Police Station in this connection and the arrested person along with the seized contraband goods was handed over to the police on Thursday.
