Miscreants set fire to a bus of Hanif Paribahan standing on the roadside in Kushtia on Wednesday night.
The arson took place in front of the Alampur Highway Police Station on the Kushtia-Khulna highway around 11:30 pm.
According to fire service and police, a Hanif Paribahan bus met with an accident on the Kushtia-Ishwardi highway on Monday. Chaurhas Highway Police seized the bus and kept it on the road in front of the police station.
Kushtia Fire Service assistant director Jane Alam said being informed, the fire service personnel reached there and brought the fire under control.
Kushtia Model Police Station officer-in-charge Sheikh Sohel Rana said the incident happened in front of police station, so the matter is being looked at very seriously.
