A fire broke out in a coach of intercity Upaban Express train, which was parked at Sylhet Railway Station, on Wednesday night.
The incident happened around 9:30pm.
Sylhet Fire Service deputy director Moniruzzaman confirmed the news.
On information, two units of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after half an hour.
Sylhet Railway Station manager Muhammad Nurul Islam said the train staff suddenly saw the fire in an AC chair compartment of the train. Later, fire service brought the fire under control. But all the things inside the compartment were burnt.
He further said that the fire came under control around 10 pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There was no casualty as there were no passengers in the compartment at the time of the fire.
