Police recovered the body of a man with his hands and feet tied from behind and face covered with scotch tape in his house at Savar`s Ashulia area on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Darul Huda, 40, son of late Johab Ali, hailed from North Fatehpur village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
According to locals, Darul worked as a packing-man in a private factory and used to live in a rented house with his wife at Polashbari Batanteck area in Ashulia. His wife saw the body when she returned home from his office and screamed for help.
Being informed by locals, police recovered the body and sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Abdul Malek, a sub-inspector of Ashulia Police Station.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) visited the area and collected evidences from the spot. Legal action would be taken in this regard, the SI added.
