14 arson attacks reported during 48-hour blockade

Fourteen reports of arson attacks were recorded across the country from 6am Sunday till 6:30 pm Monday, two-days of countrywide blockade enforced by BNP, Jamaat, and its allies, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Of these, eight arson attacks were reported in Dhaka city, three in Dhaka division (Narayanganj, Savar, Faridpur), one each in Barishal division, Rajshahi division and Rangpur division, said Talha Bin Jasim, station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Media Cell on Monday.

A total of eleven buses, two human haulers and one truck were burned during this period.
