AC bus catches fire in Agargaon

An air-conditioned (AC) staff bus of ‍‍`Palmal Group‍‍` caught fire in the capital‍‍`s Agargaon area on Thursday morning.

Around 7:35am, the bus of Palmal Group caught fire while the vehicle was on Agargaon signal. But no causalities were reported as the bus driver and helper managed to get down. There was no passengers at that moment.

Getting information, two units of Fire Service rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

The fire originated in the bus from the electric wire, said Fire Service and civil Defence duty officer Lima Khanam.

Vehicular movement in one side from Agargaon Signal to Link Road was halted. Later, it became normal after the firemen managed to bring the fire under control.
